Klubbarna Mission och Mist slår sina påsar ihop med Oscar Villata och bjuder in en av Englands mest talangfulla dj’s och producenter.

Lördag 16 maj är vi stolta att få presentera Radio Slave’s nya kelgris Spencer Parker på Mission. Spencer är ett av de stora framtidsnamnen inom house & techno och är aktuell med grymma tolvorna “Untitled Head” (Liebe Detail) och “Romantic” (Rekids). Han har även gjort dj-mixen på Rekids senaste kompilation “Rekids Revolution”.

Förvänta er ett set av yppersta klass med house, techno och några av Spencer’s egenediterade “Secret Weapon’s”.

En stor nyhet för den här kvällen är att det blir två dansgolv. DJWS, Underground Militia, I&I och Tri-Funk drar i spakarna på det nya golvet och spelar bastung (så klart!) dubstep. Fyra dubbel-arton på 8000 Watt har hyrts för att återge de lägsta frekvenserna!

SPENCER PARKER

Spencer Parker är ett av de hetaste up’n’coming-namnen på Europas house- & techno-scen. Han är eftertraktad från alla håll; av klubbarrangörer, skivbolag och producenter som gärna vill få sig en omarbetning av honom. Spencer gör techno med tydliga house-influenser och hans största favorit är Carl Craig. Hans dj-sets, produktioner och remixer får support från storheter som Radio Slave, Luciano, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Ben Watt, Nic Fanciulli och Pete Tong.

Just Radio Slave med egna bolaget “Rekids” har tagit sig an Spencer och släppt tolvor med honom, bl.a “The Dreamer E.P.” innehållandes den superhyllade låten “The Improvised Minotaur”.

2008 var ett stort år för honom och 2009 kommer bli ännu större, don’t sleep!

Jonathan Moore over at Leftside Wobble send us this old school house mix. Epic!

In mid eighties London there were a group of clubs that held sway for the musically adventurous; The Mud Club, Raw and City of Angels to name a few, but one club in particular had a lasting impact on me and that was Noel and Maurice Watson’s Delirium. It had that essential mix of cool kids and fashion but with a raw street edge. Musically the club originally played a mix of Hip Hop and Electro but they always had a sense of musical innovation and so Delirium was one of the first places I heard House music in both its New York and Chicago guises (much to the disapproval of much of the 2,500 regular crowd, who would bottle the DJ booth whenever the groove moved into House territory!). So in honour of Noel and Maurice’s influence on my future musical tastes I’ve put together a series of mixes charting my early pilgrimages in search of the repetitive beat.
