Oh, Baby – I Like it Raw

This weekend we’re doing a exclusive visit to Moriskan for our only Oh, Baby - I Like It Raw gig together for the summer. On Saturday we’re guest at Club Park here in Malmö for a 4 hour set on 4 turntables. We’re playing on the main floor so expect a serious clash of percussive house, afro techno, dubby disco, raw boogie and fog horn samples.

Everyone is welcome to joing the party!

Our local dancehall heroes Safari Sound takes care of the second floor and Underground Militia bangs it outside. Safari Sound have pimped their blog to great effect. For the latest in Jamaican music visit: the Original Bangarang blog.

Massive thanks and lots of love to everyone that turn up at our Good Bye party last friday on C/O bar and make it one of the most beautiful nights ever. You were fantastic!

We’re trying to put together a tracklist of all of the tunes that we played. Some parts of the night it’s a little bit cloudy but I think we’ll be able to pull it off. There’s also rumours about some videos from the night circling around.

Très Bien Shop and Oh, Baby - I Like It Raw invite you to a bjuder in till vernissage med Oh, Babys hovfotograf Jesper Berg. Fredag 4 april 19.00 öppnar vi upp dörrarna till Très Bien Shop på Friisgatan 14 i Malmö.

Undertecknad och Oscar Villata spelar skivor och ingen ska behöva bli törstig. Efteråt ramlar vi vidare till Jeriko där vi välkomnar den norska discons senaste superhjälte Diskjokke.

I mer än tre år, en tid där Malmös uteliv vuxit till det mest spännande och utmanande i hela Sverige, har fotografen Jesper Berg sprungit omkring på klubbar kring Möllevången med kameran i en hand och en drink i den andra.

Nu har det blivit dags för hans första soloutställning ”Smile Baby, You’re raw!” på Très Bien Shop i Malmö med bilder från Oh, baby – I Like It Raw.

– Jag vill att mina bilder ska ha en dokumentär känsla. Det får inte kännas som ett konstprojekt, det är alldeles för pretentiöst, säger Jesper Berg.

Jesper Berg är född 1982 och har fotograferat sedan början av 2000-talet. Han har en bakgrund på Fotoskolan Skåne. Hans bilder har synts i bland annat Dagens Nyheter, Sydsvenskan, Nöjesguiden, Modette och Aftonbladet.

Utställningen ”Smile Baby, You’re raw!” hänger uppe mellan 4 april och 2 maj.

Exhibition - “Smile Baby, You’re Raw”

Pictures from the late seventies and early eighties decadent club life has swamped one coffee table book after another, and has been the inspiration of numerous exhibitions. But what todays creatures of the night and tomorrows creative elite does after midnight, is not as well documented.

For more than three years, a time when the night life in Malmo has expanded into the most exciting and challenging in Sweden, photographer Jesper Berg has been seen running around the clubs in the surroundings of the Mollevangen square in Malmo with the camera in one hand and a drink in the other.

The exhibition entitled “Smile Baby, You’re Raw” consists of pictures from Jeriko based club, “Oh, baby - I Like It Raw”. The exhibition will be available from the 4th of April until the 2nd of May at Très Bien Shop, Friisgatan 14 in Malmo.

Friday, April 4th Très Bien Shop are hosting the opening of the “Smile Baby, You’re Raw” exhibition starting 19.00 in our store at Friisgatan 14 in Malmo. At 23.00 The night continues at Jeriko with Oh baby – I Like It Raw, which this evening is accompanied by Norwegian dj and disco wonder Diskjokke.

Many thanks to everyone who visited our easter party yesterday. Special thanks to Staffan and Dan from Drama. After a soft start with some Low Motion Disco, the new Aeroplane and Kathy Diamond single and Carl Craig, The Drama boys found the turbo booster on the mixer and went all in. Some dreads try to calm things down with the fire-extinguisher but it didn’t prevent people from moving the dance floor to the tables. Watch the insanity here.
