#11 Yellowman – Dub Me Strong

Legandary dancehall deejay Yellowman on a suprising little secret journey in the dubby disco/postpunk world from 1984. I quote direct from the cover bio:
WHO IS YELLOWMAN? A SENSATION! Ask any lover of Jamaican music. Born plain Wiston Foster in the ghetto of Kingston, Yellow overcame social prejudice occasioned by his “dundus” [albino] complexion to become the biggest reggae star since Bob Marley.
“Dub Me Strong” is a perfect warm up discotune for those slow and bright summer evenings in Sweden where it’s imposible to seperate night from dawn.

#13 NYCC – Make Everyday Count (New Re-mixed Disco Version)

Not many groups are a better symbol for the close relationship between gospel and disco than New York Community Choir, NYCC. Not many tracks are better than this uphotted and slightly different version of the title song from the album Make Everyday Count.. Pure ace! Grap the twelve if you find it. The A-side is almost as good.

#14 Kraftwerk – Tour De France (Remix Francois K)

When I was younger my dad used to drag me around different cycling events in Sweden and Europe during the summers. One of my best memories from that time is hearing this tune on the tv-reports from Tour De France in Holland. I can’t remember how old I was but I must have been twelve years old or something. Guess what? I still sound fantastic and I can’t come up with a better way to celebrate the start of this year’s tour.

#15 Mark E – Beat Down

Here’s a track that’s been around for ages at Oh Baby I Like It Raw. “Beat Down” has been one of our favourite build up tracks. The bassline is so heavy but in the same time really smooth and boogie-ish. This is a perfect party starter. Enjoy!

#16 Lyrics Born feat. E-40 & Casual – Callin’ Out (Remix)

You could probably say Oh, Baby – I Like It Raw as most people see the club today started of with this tune. It was one of the first nights during our first summer at Babel, or Jeriko as it was called back then, and the room had just started to get crowded. I remember that I didn’t have any expectations at all from the beginning. But when I saw how the crowd reacted when Oscar (or was it me?) dropped this bay area anthem I knew that there might be some fun after all. To be honest I think we played the original version that time but this remix it’s the definitive version in my book.
People are you ready – let’s start the show.
