If the dance music and DJ world is dominated by men the contemporary disco world for some reason is ten times worst which of course is real sad. Barcelona-DJ Georgina Fernandez aka Baby G is a exeption among all the bears.
Together with parter in crime Pete Herbert from Reverso 68 she forms the great duo L.S.B which we been playing over and over the last year or so.
Together with DFA’s Still Going (the new project from Rub n’ Tug’s Eric Duncan and Oliver Spencer), Aeroplane among others L.S.B’s were invited to do a remix of Love Motion Disco’s debut “Love Love Love”.
All versions are actually good but L.S.B’s midtempo groover are the winner for me. With a little help from 80’s soul/boogie duo Rene & Angela’s “I Love You More” and that classic house piano that seems to take over every studio this spring, they recreated the song to pure disco heaven. Absolute boogie!
